Is there a version of NWN that runs on a modern intel Mac & where can I get it?

It should work perfectly fine if you put Windows onto that Mac instead of OSX.

There is no native Mac version (that I am aware of), but it may run fine under a PC emulator.

It seems that there was a Mac version that ran native on the Power PC versions of the Mac. This is no longer supported and I have an intel based Mac anyway.

It seems that the game will/should run under an emulator. The obvious candidates are Parallels, VMware or even Virtual Box. This means buying a copy of windows which is getting hard since they're about to churn the base again from Vista to W7.  Sad

I got this from the Bioware Mac User forum. I might come back and document the URLs for the key threads and old resources.

Where does one get a copy of Windows XP, that'll work with Windows Update?

What do you mean by "work with Windows Update?"  All versions of Windows XP use Windows Update.  Microsoft will be terminating support for this OS in favor of Windows 7 and Vista and there is no way to avoid it.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 and NWN works perfectly on it, so if you can get a way to emulate that, you'll probably have better luck getting support going forward.

With that said, Win XP can be easily obtained from US-based "system builder" type stores.  I know my usual supplier doesn't do business in the UK, but perhaps you could check with whatever your equivalent would be?
